Lucky

I could have been all sentimental and written about how lucky we are to live in Canada (on this eve of Canada Day) and how a great number of people in the rest of the world have to live with ruins like this, with their lives in ruin like this, but I won't.

This is a photo of what is called the "blue hour", or that hour during which twilight fades to black. I love evenings. I wish I wasn't sleeping for most of them.

Waterfall

Taking a picture of the waterfall with a slight blur and holding the camera steady - easy.

Getting Ben to sit still during the time it takes to get the waterfall a little blurry - nigh unto impossible.

Just Dandy

I realize this is another flower picture. I guess I'm just feeling sensitive or something. It's not like I want to watch "Terms of Endearment" or anything. I'm listening to K-OS while I post this. I'm not getting in touch with my feminine side.

I'm also way too defensive. I think I'll just go cry...uh...hit something. Yeah...

Flower

I was watching a documentary on Henri Cartier-Bresson and he said that when a picture is right there is no need to crop. Well, I think Monsieur Cartier-Bresson should have been introduced to Photoshop. He might have liked it.

Also, I cropped this picture just a tiny bit.

Not much at all.

I had to fill up the van last night after delivering a speech to the grads at prom. I had Tank with me, as I now go almost nowhere without it, and I liked the glow from the blue lights around the top of the Sumas Way Chevron. Nothing poetic, nor political, nor humorous. Just pretty lights.
